Re: migrate Dreamweaver CS3 to new mac

Hi,

I first used the Apple Migration assistant to move my system from the old

iMac to the new iMac.  That mostly worked but a couple on Adobe applications

Dreamweaver and Photoshop Elements would not run, and opening the print

dialog crashed all the applications I tried to print from.

Today I contact Apple Support and the second thing they suggested was

creating an additional admin account and trying to recreate the installation

problems.

With the new login, I was able to install the printer driver and print a

page.

So I logged out of the new account and back I into my account.

At this point, I was able to access the printer that I had installed with

the test account and print a page.

So I tried installing Dreamweaver (logged in under the original account) and

it worked fine. (in all cases I was installing from the original DVD with

the license key.)

A relief but also a mystery.

Any ideas why creating a second account would clear up installation issues

with the first account?

Thanks,

Lynda
