Hi there,
To help me design a dust cover for my book that will stretch over the front and back covers (and spine) and then fold around so I can add some text, etc. on the inside flaps, the fellow who’ll be binding my books has told me to make the dust cover 14.33 inches tall and 26 inches wide.
So…in Preferences/Units & Increments I’ve switched both Horizontal and Vertical to inches.
But when I open a New Document and check Document Presets, I see that the page width and height are in picas.
I’d like to do one of two things:
1. actually make my new document in inches instead of picas, or
2. work in picas instead of inches. A conversion site on the internet says that 14.33 inches is 85.98 picas, and 26 inches is 156 picas. Should I do it this way, and stay in the pica world (as InDesign seems to want me to do)?
Thanks so much,
Malcolm
