Just for the record, "us guys" on this forum are just other users like you. We're lucky to have a few of the actual developers pop in from time to time to help with tech issues but I agree with you about support on the "account" side.
A couple of other thoughts...
First I can't remember when Adobe first started requiring online activation and not just a serial number that came with the disks. If your Audition 2.0 is the latter, maybe we can figure a way to get it running again.
Second, I wouldn't discount upgrading to AA3.0. Have a read of this FAQ: Error: "Activation Server Unavailable" | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3 I may be misinterpreting but I believe if you had a version no longer usable due to the activation server shut down, you're allowed to download and install this version of AA3. FYI, in my experience AA3 was far superior to AA2 in terms of stability and features...but still has the "traditional" look and feel.
