Yup.
People say a lot of bad things about sRGB, but I like sRGB. It's almost perfect for what it does. And it's perfectly possible to get strong, rich color inside sRGB - it's not gamut volume, it's the relationship between the colors you do have.
The sRGB spec was a monumental achievement when it was first published, as the first description of an actual device color space (CRT monitor). It was the first seed for modern color management, and things might not have looked like they do today without it.
