Since my previous post in this thread, there have been changes to this behavior in After Effects. In After Effects CC 2014.1 (13.1) and later, when color management is enabled and a composition is dynamically linked into Adobe Media Encoder or Premiere Pro, the color space of the pixels is automatically transformed to Rec.709. You no longer need to apply the Color Profile Converter effect to achieve the correct result. For more information, read the new feature notes here:
