Would a 6 core Zeon build affect the answer to my question? Here is my build so far:
Xeon E5 1650 v3, ASUS X99 Deluxe/U31, Crucial 32GB Kit (16GBx2) DDR4,Intel Solid-State Drive 750 (400 GB) ,Samsung 500GB 850,Fractal Design Define R5 ,Noctua NH-U12DXi4 120mm SSO2 CPU Cooler,Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm Case Fans x4 GPU: EVGA GTX 970 or EVGA Geforce 980 Ti ?
Why would you stick a Xeon in an x99 board? The only real advantage is that they can be used in multiple CPU motherboards. With an i7-5930K you could very easily get 4+ GHz out of it. Also take advantage of that M.2 socket get yourself a 512 GB Samsung SM951 for the same price as the that you have for the Intel 400 GB 750. The Samsung can write faster during your exports. Then get a Samsung 850 Pro for your boot drive and you will only need a 256 GB SSD at the most.
