Acrobat Pro 10 update failure

I have Acrobat 10.1.15 working on a Win7 laptop. Checking for updates from the Help menu indicates a security update is available. I proceeded as per other updates and it failed, error 1310, no access to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Resource\Font. I checked and changed permissions for users even though I am the administrator. Tried again from Acrobat 10.1.15 - similar fail with failure to access c:\Config MSP (something v similar).

 

Checking on the Adobe web site indicated that AcrobatSecUpd1016.msp is the latest update. I tried downloading and running it and amazingly it opened PaintShop Pro X6 !?

 

I have also tried stopping Acrobat services and running the update again. No joy - any advice welcome.
