There is another way to manually turn off the GPU.

Follow the below instructions :

1. Quit Lightroom.
2. Press windows and R keys to open run window and type appdata and hit enter
3. Open Roaming> Adobe> Lightroom> Preferences
4. Open Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs with Notepad
5. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the following useAutoBahn = false
6. Save and close that file.
7. Launch Lightroom and check.
