you know I have the same question, actually you were the only one that answered in the thread I opened 
Listen, I thouht also that the solution to use different weights could be creating different kits with just one weight each. The point is that we have tried in a different way: I tried with two kits
Kit 1: Adelle normal + futura normal
Kit 2: Adelle thin + futura extra bold + europa
So, I got europa working, but adelle and futura keep displaying the normal weight. Now that I read your test: do you think that can be any kind of incompatibility when using the same font in different kits? In that case, could it be that the first kit is "above" the second one? In order to find out if this is true, one question:
You see "light" where you should see "bold". Which is your first kit? Is it light? It could fit with what I just told...
This is frustrating, and no staff people have five minutes to answer something like: forget it until we release the 5.0 version in 2015
