I might have had this in the past on my laptop, you should try using different footage like a .mp4 instead of MOV and see if it has the same outcome,
if it happens again, try clearing your cache in edit > preferences > media & disc cache > Empty disk cache (this will not delete any project files)
You might also want to try something that is very simple fix and restart your PC/laptop.
