For a long time I have always wondered what the reading order actually does. If you click the little info icon in the reading order panel it says "The Reading Order panel provides a visual representation of the order in which content is read by Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC's Read Out Loud text-to-speech tool". However the order in which items are tagged (in the tags panel) appear to be the order in which content is read. This is even the case with other third party screen reading software... The reading order really seems to have not purpose.
