Adobe Premiere CC 2015 Resetting Audio Hardware Settings

Hi,

I've got a curious scenario; I think it's related to all these threads about audio issues in Premiere CC 2015. I've got a customer running a new Mac Pro with CC 2015. It was running fine for several months until last week. Premiere has started changing the Audio Hardware Settings in the Preference panel on it's own. The symptoms are that audio cuts out completely and video playback stops working as well. You just see a still frame of the video. This happens about after 10-15 minutes of editing. We've been able to temporarily fix things by going into Preferences Audio Hardware Settings, and changing Output and Input to Built-In Default. That only resolves the issue for 10-15 minutes though. After that, we need to reboot the machine in order to restore playback. This happens with any project.

My customer is running Premiere for CC 2015 version 9.0.0. (247). Here's a screenshot of his audio hardware settings, and his Sound control panel in OSX.

I believe that things should be set to Default Built-In audio. But what happens is Premiere keeps changing the Default Input, Default Output and Master Clock fields to say Display Audio. Sometimes it shows as DisplayPort as well. Notice that this is different than the output we have set in the Sound panel. We have deleted our Media Cache Files and this still seems to occur.

Any advice on what's going on?
