Re: How can I deactivate my Adobe software?

No error messages at all.  I did not try and download or activate a new version on my new PC until I could get the existing version on my old PC deactivated.  That was protocol from everything I could find in the forums.  I called customer support and was able to get someone to help me.  That was unusual, but very appreciated.  Here was the resolution: I apparently have a Volume Licensing Adobe Product.  Last year, I upgraded my Acrobat 9 Pro (retail box version) to 11 Pro, through an on-line purchase at CDW.  With that, came a download from Adobe's Licensing Website (LWS).  This is the place Adobe had me download my upgrade a year ago.  They keep your serial number for upgrades on that site.  I kept that email from Adobe, and it turns out I could download another copy.  After downloading another copy on my new PC, I uninstalled the original copy on my old PC.  This process took me and a support rep over an hour to figure out.  In the end, it worked out and I am glad to now be using my new PC, with Acrobat Pro XI installed and working.  No one could ever tell me why my copy of Acrobat 11 Pro did not have a "deactivate" option in the Help dropdown menu.  This was a very lengthy and time costly process which I hope Adobe can fix so others don't have so much down time from work as I experienced.
