Re: Adding Video Easily

Hi... I am very sympathetic to this problem.

I have the same customer requirements. They need a lot of video clips and they require them on their local servers.

I have been trying everything to get this to work. The solution that Julia provided worked well for me when I built a three page layout with the video test page in the center and tried it in Chrome after exporting it to my desktop.

However, what I found was that when I ftp'd the three pages to my Yahoo server, the video would not display... only the player in IE.... and, also, in Chrome the video displayed and played but the page layout went nuts with the header objects on the screen losing their x axis positioning.

When I embedded the code, I used the page metadata as directed, and embedded your code in the HTML box, but I only used an mp4 video clip and didn't try another format so that may be the issue with IE but I am not sure how to resolve the positioning issue in Chrome. And, why does it work well on the desktop but not when streamed from a remote server?

I agree, Muse is a terrific tool and I hope this problem of adding video (and audio) clips that are hosted on local servers can be resolved.

I too am under a deadline and really could use some help on this if possible.

Thanks,

Jan
