While disabling Protected Mode is not really a "solution" per se; Protected Mode itself causes so many different problems that disabling it is the best way of protecting you against all these problems....

Ah, that's not an Acrobat issue. The Windows command line rules is that anything containing spaces which you want to be a single parameter must be in double quotes.
